Sometimes woman may be involved with man, who demonstrates obscure coldness and detachment, and it never occurs to her, that he prefers boys. I photographed young solders during national holiday in Heldenplatz on Sunday and was thinking why so many women fall for men in military uniform. It is thirst for strength and masculinity. Morning post brought newsletter from Vienna communist party with protest against demonstrative and exposure of corn-flowers in suit lapels by FPÖ members, pointing out to the fact that corn-flower was symbol popular among national-socialists in 1938. The demonstration of Nazi symbols is forbidden in Austria, so I can justify my public sexual arousal about Strache in military uniform only by anti-fascist objections of my designer activity. Former Vienna Mayor Helmut Zilk, who lost part of his hand to a letter bomb in 1993, died. He was 81.
In December 1993, Zilk’s was severely injured when he opened a letter bomb sent to his home in Vienna by terrorist Franz Fuchs.
Franz Fuchs (1949-2000) was a xenophobic Austrian terrorist. Between 1993 and 1997 he killed four people and injured 15, using improvised explosive devices  and mailbombs.

His targets were people he either considered to be foreigners, or individuals “friendly to foreigners.”
Franz Fuchs claimed responsibility for his attacks and tried to give the impression of a larger organization.
In 1995, four Roma were killed with an explosive device which was attached to a sign that read “Roma zurück nach Indien”
At this stage Fuchs had obviously become paranoid. On October 1, 1997 he followed two women whom he believed were observing him. When police attempted to question him, he produced another explosive device which he had kept in his car, and detonated it in front of the policemen. His suicide attempt failed, but he lost both hands, and also injured a police officer. Fuchs was sentenced to life in prison. On February 26, 2000, Fuchs was found hanged with the cable of his electric razor in his prison cell in Graz.
Doubts remained whether Fuchs had actually committed his actions without any support from sympathizers.
Even more doubts remain concerning Fuchs’ death. How exactly a man without hands and under almost constant video survey could accomplish the manipulations with cable. Moreover, no prisoner is supposed to be in possession of anything (including belts and shoestrings) that could serve this purpose - most certainly not an electric cable.

All of us need to believe that we are loved and lovable.

In our deepest nature each person is meant to be the hero or heroine of an eternal love story.
Countless people have experienced love–as pleasure, sex, security, having someone else fulfill their daily needs. Socially, the “normal” cycle of love is simply to find a suitable partner, marry, and raise a family. But this social pattern isn’t a path, because it is not automatically spiritual. Sad to say, many people enter lifelong relationships in which love fades over time or provides lasting companionship without growing in its inner dimension.
When you find your path, you will also find your love story. People today are consumed by doubts about their relationships: Have I found the right partner? Am I being true to myself? As a result, there is a restless kind of consumer shopping for partners, as if the “right” one can be found by counting a potential mate’s pluses and minuses until the number of pluses matches some mythical standard. The path to love, however, is never about externals. However good or bad you feel about your relationship, the person you are with at this moment is the “right” person, because he or she is a mirror of who you are inside.
When you struggle with your partner, you are struggling with yourself. Every fault you see in them touches a denied weakness in yourself. The path to love therefore clears up a monumental mistake that millions of people make–the mistake that someone “out there” is going to give something that is not already yours. When you truly find love, you find yourself.

German airline Lufthansa is the only contender to have launched a takeover bid for ailing flag-carrier Austrian Airlines, a source close to the matter told AFP on Tuesday after a bidding deadline passed.

Lufthansa was the only one of the three interested companies to have lodged a firm bid for the airline (AUA), the source said, contradicting an earlier media report.

Air France-KLM and S7 of Russia had also expressed interest but did not present a formal offer, the source said.

The deadline for firm offers passed at 1000 GMT on Tuesday after months of media speculation about which airlines might step in to help take over AUA during difficult times for the airline sector.

The state-owned holding company OeIAG is looking for a buyer for its 42-percent stake in AUA, after the Austrian government gave it until the end of the year to find a partner.

A further deadline stands for bidders to present details of their takeover proposals by Friday and the final announcement on which company will take the stake is to be announced on October 27.

Austrian Airlines has nearly 900 million euros (1.3 billion dollars) of debt and has estimated losses this year in the tens of millions of euros.

According to terms of the sale, 25 percent of AUA’s capital must remain in Austrian hands so as to safeguard jobs and maintain Vienna as the airline’s main hub.
