Ärgert sich Claudia

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

(more…)

KPÖ als logische Verlierer

Saturday, October 17th, 2009

(more…)

Quelle: APA

Volkshausfest, Graz

Wednesday, September 10th, 2008

volkshaus1.jpg Liebes Graz, I always dreamed to come back and embrace you. At last after year of absence I managed to make the trip with the train and visited traditional festivity VOLKSHAUSFEST on 6 of September, organized by members of communist party – with food, drinks and music. The atmosphere was rather friendly. The provisions were not free, and activists served visitors themselves, earning in this way for needs of the party. Leaders of the movement, photographed by me in poor lighted conference hall (Bildungszentrum). Our home is where we are loved most. Graz always will be home for me.

glassbw.jpg Governor Franz Voves drinking Styrian wine

In politics one holds no promises
“The head of Styrian government Voves can not be surpassed in incredibility”, told OeVP family speaker Ridi Steibl commenting SPOe-forcingup of prices in Steiermark. On the 1st of July the electricity prices will be raised by 15 percent.
OeVP-family speaker reminded to audience the fact of numerous election campaign pledges given by Voves. Before the elections Voves had promised , in particular, that electricity price would not be raised. Steibl told: “You failed, Mr.Governor! With all your broken promises. Voves is fully responsible for the antisocial SPOe politics and it is incomprehensible why he demands SPOe at the national level to be the other, when his own local policy does not correspond to this fundamental principle.” ots.at
Electricity price increases, the trust to politicians decreases
From the 1st of July the Energy Styria raises the electricity price. It means a rise by 4 percent for average household. As the KPOe has already stated before, every rise digs deep in population pockets. This is the third rise since 2006.
Ernest Kaltenegger, club chef of the KPOe issued critical comments on this fact in the Styrian Landtag: “Other local enterprises who manage to go on without nuclear power are definitely cheaper than the Energy Stieremark. The last one seems to obtain tactics to put stress on population at regular intervals. At the same time, the politicians of OeVP and SPOe at the local level intend to increase their own salaries up to 1000 euros monthly. In this way the trust to politicians is systematically destroyed.” KPÖ (more…)

My sweet home Steiermark

Franz Voves

I do not know where my motherland is, and to what nationality I belong. When I caught a glimpse of green Steiermark colors at Rathauspaltz of Vienna, where traditional national festivity took place, my heart gave a leap. I had feeling that after long journey I had come back home.

I could again smell aroma of familiar food, and how people around me spoke- with specific accent- sounded so homelike and nice. A glass of rose Schilcher wine, that occurred to be unexpectedly strong, increased my nostalgic longing. When looking at governor Franz Voves standing by side of Vienna mayor, I recollected past days in Graz, and how once I photographed him in Schloss Eggenberg. I always transmit my sympathy to those whom I photograph. All in all I find Steiermark charm to be irresistible.

Gerald bended  his head, and his face in dim lights of cafe looking crimson, breathing out steams of five big beers he had gulped one after the other.

We were sitting in one of Graz oldest bars Barcelona during its -blue- evening, and in perspective I could observe three male couples flirting. Jerry was 52 years old teacher of English, who moved from UK to Austria many years ago and circulated in Tramino and other hot spots of Graz night life.

Gerry was the person easy to talk with, and even being deeply intoxicated he never criticized anybody. Trying to catch next thought, he was swinging from side to side and his long ash gray hair were waving like washed out ban of underground life and addiction.

-Look, Gali, I have not told you anything, but please, be careful with them.

He hiccupped and added: – By the way, do you know where Graz Aids help desk is?

Then Wolfgang appeared, and afterwards Herbert W.
