Sometimes woman may be involved with man, who demonstrates obscure coldness and detachment, and it never occurs to her, that he prefers boys. Once I had friendly conversation with middle-aged fag, who told me that gays often consider women to be inferior and dirty: their silliness, their periods - like sewer running through beautiful garden. When I was looking straight in the eye of Jörg Haider at press-conferences, I knew I could never gain power over heart of such a person. Then I did not know why.

What about my intuitive knowing that he didn’t like women, it confirmed universal law of fascination. We love the man, in whose presence we love ourselves.

I photographed young solders during national holiday in Heldenplatz on Sunday and was thinking why so many women fall for men in military uniform. It is thirst for strength and masculinity. Women can not see much of that in their actual husbands and partners. All society slides in homosexuality. Women become more and more competitive, ruthless, tough, and men, o, these Austrian men! More and more lazy, cowardly, impotent and talkative.

But all the same I like these odd creatures with balls. Some of them are really superior to women- from intellectual point of view. They are also often less mercantile than women. And they can be real friends.

This is my melancholic respond to Austrian media election campaign hysteria. Today coming back from my courses, I saw three young drug-users in the secluded carriage of the tube. They unpacked small container with white staff and sniffed it one after the other- two girls and one young man- using smooth glossy cover of election leaflet as plate for happiness powder.

As it always was, politicians make politics for themselves - to gain more power and its monetary equivalent; others are mostly passive and skeptical spectators of the show.

And now Jörg haider is dead! I feel terrible thinking that I may be invested in bringing his catastrophic end in metaphisical sense, when I exposed this photo! But what is done is done.

Today I visited press-conference with BZOe leaders Joerg Haider and Peter Westenthaler in Dorotheergasse.

Standing in the small conference hall of orange party together with the bunch of young reporters I tried to imagine, what Joerg Haider was thinking about.

One of foreign journalists asked him about monitoring the borders of Carinthia, where Haider is governor.

That monitoring after international entertainments events terminated, is still going on.

I imagined myself to be one of refugees or asylum seekers, who could be at the mercy of local Carinthia immigration laws and who could visit office of governor applying to his humanity and kindness.

And then looking in his eyes, I knew for sure there would be no compromises and no salvation for me,

as for any other intruder, does not matter how hard situation was.

This toughness I sensed in the posture of his head and in the way he pressed his lips, after making every next declaration.

He also gives hints to be very intelligent and shrewd.

Chef of styrian social-democrats is for coalition with ÖVP

Styrian SPÖ Governor Franz Voves has spoken up in support of governing coalition with the ÖVP.

Voves said: “I was and I am a supporter of this coalition. I think that it is the best solution for the next five-ten years.”

Franz Voves - former ice-hockey national team player refused to comment on whether the SPÖ should continue such cooperation in case it fails to receive the most votes in the 28 September election. Voves dismissed talk about possible election outcomes as mere speculation at the moment.

In contrast to some other SPÖ leaders, the 55-year-old Voves stressed the point that he would not exclude any party from talks about a possible coalition.

Voves expects that the SPÖ will be number one on 28 September due to new SPÖ leader Werner Faymann, which has beén “fantastic” in Styria.

Haider was a long-time leader of the Austrian Freedom Party (FPÖ). When he stepped down as party’s chairman in 2000, he remained its major figure until 2005. In April 2005 he founded a new party, the “Alliance for the Future of Austria” (BZÖ-Bündnis Zukunft Österreich)

Joerg Haider was born in 1950 in Bad Goisern, Upper Austria. His father Robert Haider worked as a shoemaker, his mother Dorothea Rupp was a teacher.

Both parents were active members of the Nazi Party. Robert Haider joined the ‘Hitler Jugend’ when he was fifteen. In 1933, after Nazi organisations were banned in Austria, he participated in several illegal actions. In 1934 he took part in the failed nazi putsch and was forced to flee to Bavaria, where he joined the nazi party. (more…)

According to my private statistics Jörg Haider is the most frequent Google search term after words sex and nudity that direct visitors to my website.

When you live in the western country and bring reminiscences about totalitarian society in broad audience you easily gain understanding and support.

Act of critical evaluation suggests unspoken comparison of what was before and what is now. It can sound like compliment in address of western democracy.

Everybody would easily imagine that Galina’s soviet life was only abuse and suppression, that she was persecuted as minor progressive thinker, failed to find justice in her righteous struggle and moved to the West, where she found eventually her happy land.
