Hi, it is me, Galina - intimate journalist. Thanks for visiting my web site!
We probably have already met in the streets of Graz. I am always there with my camera. The idea was to create a gallery of spontaneous portraits and street scenes as a chronicle of everyday life of common people. Personally I don't know anybody depicted on my pictures and I only have a few seconds to catch a moment of truth. Everybody, who was there by coincidence, has helped me to create this unique chronicle, where every detail has a special meaning and nothing can be repeated.
Since long time I am interested in social and psychological aspects of life and how feelings are expressed in pictures and words. May I invite you to make a walk together with me through the streets of Austria? We can see small artifacts of reality and think over this experience.
Being newspaper writing journalist, I was always fascinated by photography, and in 2004 made a few trials as photo model, but being dissatisfied with this role that makes you dependent on unpredictable needs of photographers, since 2006 proceed to photograph myself seriously with my DSLR. Since then I took more than 14 000 shots. Actually I use a Nikon D200 with three lenses.
